Parle Patel is a British Indian comedian, performer, presenter, and producer, most recognised for his online comedy sketches depicting British Asian and Gujarati life. 

 

Rising in popularity via self-created content on his social media platforms, Parle’s comedy has seen global success which has landed him opportunities to present globally in cities as big as New York and Mumbai. This work has also been recognised via the Asian Media Award for Best Online Channel in 2015

More recently Parle has shown his ability to take his comical style from viral videos to live theatre stages by playing the lead role of Mrs. Kapoor, in Mrs Kapoor's Daughter's Wedding with over 25 sell-out shows throughout the UK.

 

After being recognised online, Parle also presented his own self-titled radio show on the BBC Asian Network and has also begun a career in Television. He presented a BBC One Documentary called Hindus: Do We Have A Caste Problem?, featured as a contributing presenter on CBBC’s Life Babble.

 

Away from comedy, radio and television Parle has also produced an eclectic mix of Gujarati Songs with bold and energetic music videos which raise the profile of Gujarati Folk Dances and surrounding arts.

 

Parle’s passion for connecting the voices of unheard minority communities and celebrating his heritage, pair well with his ability to discuss taboo topics whilst also taking pride in being British. His versatility is visible in his unique and warming approach to his art.
